Adding EHS to the Tools That Help Us Deliver on Safety
Marking National Safety Month each year offers the industry a formal opportunity to pause and consider our commitment to advancing safety, assess what we have achieved, and identify where there’s room for improvement.
Safety is a core value at UG2, and we invest continuously to build on that foundational promise. You see our commitment reflected in the superior safety ratings UG2 continuously earns, in our growing team of UG2 professionals, from leadership on down, who act as stewards of safety with our teams and customers, and in our ongoing initiatives to integrate leading-edge tools and technology.
This June, UG2 is completing its rollout of Evotix EHS Incident Management Software across our operations. EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) software is a digital platform that helps track and prevent workplace incidents and manage safety risks. It is yet another tool for UG2 to further our promise of delivering transparency, accountability, and actionable data for our customers.
Leveraging EHS to ensure accountability at every level.
With EHS, when an incident occurs, the platform guides the response from first report to final resolution, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks:
- Site managers log incidents quickly and consistently using a standardized process
- Regional managers review, follow up, and escalate as needed
- Our Environmental Health and Safety team oversees final approval and closure
- Executive leadership monitors activity in real time through a live dashboard
Providing actionable data for continuous improvement.
Every incident holds information. The key is being able to hear it. By standardizing how incidents are reported across all regions and sites, we give our teams the ability to spot patterns in tasks, locations, shifts that point to where risk is highest. That’s how data becomes action, and how action leads to safer workplaces. Incident reporting and tracking through EHS is one of many practices that contribute to a comprehensive approach.
Delivering on the promise of transparency to our partners.
Effective safety practices require strong, trusted relationships. We approach the customer relationship as a true partnership, and work to make sure that our customers are building an understanding of the complexities behind operations right alongside our experts, whether that is through participating in walkthroughs, receiving regular updates and insights, or having access to real-time data and information about what’s happening on site.
UG2 remains focused on enhancing our safety programs to keep them forward-looking and informed by both industry innovations and proven best practices. But the most important component is the human factor. Even as we take pride in implementing the tools and technology that are essential for success, you can trust that those resources are managed by the most skilled and trained professionals in the industry.
